⚡| Infrastructure Change:
Hey everyone, and welcome to Path v0.9 of the Infrastructure changes. Unfortunately, it's not easy, with constant bug fixes that seem never-ending. In this path node, I'll take you through the current challenges we are facing. This path node might be a bit technical, and it's understandable if you don't get it right away. If you need more explanation, join our Discord server.
🔰| Server Costs:
With our goal of providing high-quality servers to every target audience, we are always looking for better and possibly cheaper options. In this case, we succeeded, but not without some drawbacks. The total costs of Atrioxhosting have decreased by over €100 per month. This was achieved, among other things, by working with new partners. However, this has extended the downtime we experience due to the additional arrangements that needed to be made.
💸| Server Compensation:
As of the time this message is posted, 23/06/24, the network has been offline for a total of 2 week and 4 days. This means the current compensation will be at least 2 weeks and 5 days. However, this may increase. When and how the compensation will be provided is still unclear because the network is not yet online. Once the network is back online, more information will be made available.
❓| When will the servers be online?
Short answer, we don’t know.
We are doing our utmost to complete the network as quickly as possible, but as explained earlier, we don't want to rush it. We want to build a good, powerful, and stable network so you can expect and receive the best, as our promise states: "We promise to always prioritize the best quality, at the lowest possible price, regardless of whether it cuts into our own profits. All because you come first!"
⛓️| Server IP's (IPv4/IPv6):
One of the new things after the entire network upgrade will be the server IPs. For the IPv4 subnet, it will be "89.251.21.0/24", and for the IPv6 subnet, it will be "2a14:7c2:1004::/48". But what does this mean for you, as a customer?
This means that once the network is ready, your server will not be directly connectable using the old IPs you had in-game. If you are the owner of the server and had a custom domain such as "play.sparksnetwork.net", you will need to update the IP address in your DNS records to the new one. You can find the new IP address in your console, but also below:
Enterprise node: "94.103.125.100" > "89.251.21.20"
Premium node: "94.103.125.101" > "89.251.21.21"
🚀| Server Router:
The network is still not stable since the last update, but we have made some progress. We have managed to connect the servers and successfully receive a ping request (ICMP). However, TCP/UDP are still not working, and those are exactly the two things you need to connect to the internet!
The problem seems to be that the server receives data from outside but then sends it into the void, causing the connection to drop. Tobias is working hard with the provider to solve this issue. We are considering switching server routers to optimize the connection without incurring additional costs for us or our customers.
⚠️| Pay attention to your payments!
The payment system continues to operate in the background, which can lead to issues. Check the client area to see when your products expire. If it is less than 7 days, please open a ticket so we can extend your product for free to prevent data loss. Open a ticket here.
